I am having to replace the driveshafts on my sti7 and have come across a set of sti8 ones with 4000 mile on them, so will be a good replacement hopefully.

I have been told i need to replace the seals on the transmission, but dont know what the part number is and if there is anything else i need to replace as have been told it will leak transmission fluid if use the sti8 seals on the sti8 shaft?

Need to order these tomorrow if someone could get back to me with a code or even a pic showing me exactly needs to be changed to just transplant the 8's for the 7's????

use the sti8 model seal if your using the sti7 tranny. The outer diameter of the seal is basically the same the major difference is the inside.

What do you mean use the model seal off the sti8?

So basically just fit the thing the way it is?

You told me i need to replace the seal on the sti8 driveshaft for an sti7 driveshaft seal as you said it will leak and now you are saying to use the seal off an sti8???????

I am starting to get confused here.

I need to order this today so can get fitted.

Does anyone have a pic of what i have to replace if anything?
