Hello everyone,

After a harsh change into second gear earlier today i no longer have drive in second?

All the other gears are fine and engage and drive but nothing from second?
Also the box is now rattling, this happened just by my house so i drove about 200ft back to my house after the initial bang noise!

can someone please advise me?

Whereabouts are you in the country...?
Sounds like a rebuild...
If you can take the box off yourself it would save you alot of money...

same happened to me, but with third.

i went for a reconditioned box, semi race clutch and 6.8kg flywheel.

Im in exeter, devon! How much am lookin at for another box or possibly a rebuild!
Its just my luck, the car is actually forsale and this happens!
What boxes fit my car then?

hi mate just had the exact same thing happen to me now its sat on the drive i found people want £500 plus vat for a re build and same for a second hand box at most brakers

I would keep an eye on SN for a cheap 2nd hand box (£200-300).

TEG SPORT rebuilt my my00 uk turbo box for £350 quid... I lost 5th gear... had a crunchy reverse, something was up with the diff... plus a couple of other bits... I took the box to them and they replaced all the worn parts with good 2nd hand parts...
The box was sweet once back on... like brand new...
