Default How easy is to change autobox to manual.

Got an auto classic impreza turbo with a knackered gearbox, how easy is it to fit a manual gearbox instead, anyone done it?

think better sell the car and buy a manual car than convert the matic into a manual. you will need plenty of parts such as clutch master/pedal assembly/tranny with matching rear diff ratio etc.

Have got most of the parts, so thats not a problem, just wondered if it was basically a straight swap, ie flywheel/clutch/gearbox, rear diff, pedal box, prop or are there any problems to overcome, has anyone actually done it?
cheers
