Exclamation

Jerry, better than you polishing your ****!!

Nimbus, the change was for performance (HKS Hiper is more efficient due to less bends in the system), what's the reason for your change???

So I rest my case!!!

Martin,

It's superb!! Not too loud when crusing, but put your foot down and you get a loverly deep burble. Just what I wanted. I shoud have done this years ago!! Went for stright through centre and oval type back box with 3" round tail. Excellent

Question

Hi,

I'm having a new exhuast fitted today and have a range of tail pipes to choose. The three that look OK are..

3" single
3" twin
4" single

The 3" by itself looks a little small and the 4" looks a little big. Can anyone tell me what size pipe the following have...

Scoobysport
Magnex
P1
Prodrive
Scoobymania

Thanks

I telephones Scoobysport myself (you know, that method of communicating before the net came along ). There's is 3", so I've told the garage to use that on my new one. Gad really, 'cos the 4" did look a bit to MP.

scoobymania is a 4 inch cut back pipe and looks smaller and oval as a result. I am beginning to think the scoobysport looks a little weedy.

I think I've made the right choice. The 4" did look too big IMHO. 3" is still a good size (eerr.. apparently... )

Thumbs up

Scoobymania is 4" as said earlier and before fitting it I thought 'oh my god its massive' but once on the car it really doesn't give that impression. I think the reason why is that the SM backbox is HUGE and a 3" would look at bit pea shooter sticking out the back of the thing..

Anyway boasting about ones backbox size is erm not the done thing

And the fact that it is titanium tipped had nothing to do with it. You don’t get the name tart for nothing you know.

5 inches is the minimum

If you cant get a labrador in the back box it anit worth it.

Markus care to comment on small exhaust pipes like you have ?

Thing is, we've been telling people that this:

<------>

is 4 inches, whereas this:

<--------------------------------------------------------------->

is actually 4 inches

Let me know what you think.

Phew! Glad you like it. All you need now is the downpipe. That really does make a hell of a difference.

Yep, that will be the next thing on my shopping list. Really pleased with the exhaust and it's not as loud in the car as I though it would be, so could probably stand a bit of increase in sound levels. I understand the the downpipe does increase the noise. But by how much? Any recomendations in DP?

Cheers

Nimbus,

I fitted the Magnex twin dump down pipe the day after my Powerflow

The pipe is £179.99. Noise didn't increase that much really, apart from the whoosh from the turbo is now audible. If you get the pipe fitted at most garages they take about 3 hours and so will charge around £150 for this. Halfords will fit the pipe for free!! I got mine done in Bracknell.

As I said, you will really notice a performance gain.

MS.
