Car is runnig after pump change without that black thing. Is it ok or do I need it?
It is connected with + and - lines on OE fuel pump.
Next question :
Em I too rich with Walbro and 4,2bar IDLE with MY98 ECU and VF23?
Thanks

It's a supressor - My car has run fine for over a year without it
With or without vacuum line connected to the reg???
I would think you are far to rich at 4.2Bar - I recently set up a MY99 with TD05 and AE800 ECU. Using a Wideband to get safe AFR's at full load, ended up setting fuel pressure to 3.5 with no vacuum. - I would be hesitant to go much above this when still using the standard fuel lines, rubber hoses and clips etc.

I was told the resistor limits the voltage to 9v ? also that it suppresses the signal ? when ive done the pump ive always reconnected it and used the oem fuel sock not the walbro one...
A good starting point for the fuel pressure would be 3bar at idle with vac pipe off at atmos,You'd probably benifit from an apexi pfc with a 98 as if your running the standard one its non mappable as is...
Hope this helps but i'm sure someone will correct me if its wrong

probably far too rich..................what sort of ECU, injectors, etc. are you running??
3bar with no vac line connected is only around 2.4/2.5 bar idle pressure....................

Agree with Alan, fuel pressure can flucuate loads as vacumn will change dependant on temp etc.
Pull the vacumn line off of the reg and block it with your thumb, then drop the pressure to 3bar.
