Default wastegate?

does the scooby have a wastegate? heard you can get a dv that holds boost well and instead of the wwtssshhhhhhhh sound of the dv, it makes the waist gate chatter
is this right for the scooby?

all turbos have a wastegate. the chatter you can hear is NOT wastegate chatter. It's compressor stall - ie the lack of dv is piling the boost air up until it forces back through the turbo stalling the compressor.

As Tath said its the turbo stalling and the air "chatting" through,BUT be carefull if you decide to do this because of the blades in the turbo can brake up,i run a td05 with fmic and no dv and have had no probs, best speak to andy f pavlo harvey green monster or the likes of to see if your turbo will stand it,to be honest it gets on my nerves sometimes...
