which intercooler is best for an upgrade on an STI8 jdm impreza, jump in and fit fmic ( would be lateral or one that doesnt cut bumper) , bigger tmic or put an expensive charge cooler kit on ??? this will be to run with standard turbo at 1st but a bigger turbo would be added later

The original is good for a good 350bhp, if not more, seen these run with MY03 JDM STi's no problems

Steve, whack the bigger turbo on and monitor the temps. You may surprised at how good the STi8 TMIC is. I have a feeling it'll be OK on the temps but you may need to reinforce it if you're going to go big boost, which I think you are

added fmic to my td05/06 and the difference is even at lower boost makes tmic feel slow. so i dont want to waste cash this time, just want to add the right parts 1st time
