which intercooler is best for an upgrade on an STI8 jdm impreza, jump in and fit fmic ( would be lateral or one that doesnt cut bumper) , bigger tmic or put an expensive charge cooler kit on ??? this will be to run with standard turbo at 1st but a bigger turbo would be added later :)

The original is good for a good 350bhp, if not more, seen these run with MY03 JDM STi's no problems :)

Steve, whack the bigger turbo on and monitor the temps. You may surprised at how good the STi8 TMIC is. I have a feeling it'll be OK on the temps but you may need to reinforce it if you're going to go big boost, which I think you are ;)

added fmic to my td05/06 and the difference is :D:D:D even at lower boost ;) makes tmic feel slow. so i dont want to waste cash this time, just want to add the right parts 1st time :)
