Default Downpipe Mounting Advice?

A couple of question on downpipe fitting on a UK MY98.

1) Should this have two mounts? (front upper and lower back?)

2) Any advise on what to do if the rear conical-gasket thing seems too small or loose-fitting?

Cheers,

Andy

So basically on a MY98 it simply attached via the flanges to the turbo and at the other end the center section. Any mounting brackets on the downpipe are surplus to requirements?

Going to fit a Hayward & Scott downpipe

...and noticed that it only has one bracket, whilst others like the Nija system has two:

I guess it must have changed on MY98 as the workshop manual I've got for a MY95 does show this bracket, by MY98 doesn't seem to have a bracket. Strange
