Not accelerating smoothly!!!!!
My 95 WRX is not accelerating as it should at the moment. When I'm accelerating with the revs over 4000rpm the engine seems to be mis-firing? The car jolts around as if the engine keeps cutting in and out. I don't know whether its the engine itself or the turbo, but it only happens as the revs climb. Can anybody shed some light?

I think Iffy spark plugs manifest themselves as a kind of mis-firing at around 4k.
Is the car behaving at idle, threatening to stall at junctions?
This might be a sign of a failing MAF.

That's exactly what happens. The car always wants to stall, when the clutch is engaged the revs drop to zero then bounce back to 1000rpm, but the warning lights do come on for a second or so. . What is the MAF? Is it easy to replace? And are they expensive? Cheers

It seems problems with the MAF are very common, are there any upgrates or improved MAF's on the market. Are there any long term solutions, especially when using an induction kit??

You MUST get this done asap. It's a fueling issue that could lead to detonation and a engine rebuild. Drive very gently, off boost until it's done.
