Default Up-pipe , please help

Ok, in the middle of replacing my up-pipe and headers on an MY02.
Headers all done, but the up-pipe is driving me mad. How on earth do you get to the 2 rear nuts that connect it to the turbo. Intercooler/heat shield is off. Front 3 nuts no probs, I am now covered in cuts and brusies and still no further on.

Is there any speacial way, do I have to remove the down pipe.

Helpppppp, I've had enough.

Unfortunately the turbo has to be pulled up to access these nuts - so the downpipe has to be pulled away from the turbo by undoing 5? nuts. If in a hurry then chances are that one of these nuts will be siezed - so this tends to be the longest part of the job.
Touch wood, as its an 02 then these nuts won't be too bad (fingers crossed)

Thanks Guys. Will take the down pipe off, this was what I planned to do tomorrow morning. Pain in the ****, just for 2 nuts.. Reminds me of my 21 turbo I had,(long time ago) you had to modify a 17mm spanner to change the turbo just for 1 nut.

Any how, while I gave up on that, give the underneath a good clean... fitted my up-pipe defender, and generally enjoyed the sun on the drive.

Many Thanks again

Make sure you have a deep socket for the up-pipe nuts.... the thread sticking up is a bit long.... and ideally a deep 6 sided socket at that....
