Have a search on here...There's plenty of info. about.

Oh yes
Avoid the DV route
The stock recirculating dump valve is perfectly adequate for even a quite heavily tuned car.
If you were to fit a VTA (vent to atmosphere) DV then you would screw up your fueling as you would be losing metered air from the system.
The reason the car uses a recirc dv in the first place is to avoid this problem.
Your money is best put in other places first.
Number one get rid of the standard 'pea shooter' exhaust and fit something that sounds much nicer as long as the car is a UK model, not a jap import then it will take a full decat and a panel filter without a remap and still run safley.
I would also get your hands on a knocklink and a boost guage before you start modding so you can keep an eye on detonation and boost pressure and see what difference any mods you put on make.
Have fun, i have a 99UK and it's off for it's second mapping session next weekend cos i just can't stop modding it
300bhp here we come!!

Ooooo yes... don't fit a VTA becuase you engine will die within two weeks . Anybody actually heard of an engine die because of a VTA???
If you like the pssst then eithe a HKS or Blitz will not kill your engine. I've logged my fueling (on a wideband) using the OEM recirc, Forge recirc, forge VTA and Bailey VTA..... there was a tiny tiny increase in AFR on lift off only with the VTAs. But not enough to say it screws your fueling.
Tony (who runs a recirc DV for reasons other than fueling).

well Tony
still anything that 'could' affect the fueling of my engine in a odd manner is to be avoided in my book.
One less thing to go wrong in an already quite long list.
