Deep,
There are several sizes of turbo in the GT30 series, Garrett rating them from 450 > 600bhp.
None of them are bolt on, but need custom up, and down pipes.
The GT30 core can be fitted into a VF exhaust housing, which allows it to be bolted on to standard pipework, but they won't produce the same power as their full Garrett counterparts.
Overall, the GT30 series turbo's work "REALLY" well, but are best on 2.35/2.5lt engines, being a little too laggy on a 2.0lt.
Don't know if that covers what you want to know, if not, you'll have to be a little more specific.
Mark.

Pickle,
Yes I can help. There are various options, depending on what you want to achieve.
Please email me, and I'll go though the options with you.

Hi Mark.
I just got you some business there!
Seriously though, thats about what I wanted to know. I'm looking around to buy another Scoob, one of them has this turbo on it(2.5l). You probably know the car as it was mapped by Pat.
Many thanks,Deep.

Deep,
LOL, that's very funny.......narrows it down to one of about 20 cars
Two door ? Or email me who it it, and I'll give you some more info, assuming it's one that I've been involved in.

I have a battered vf22, its actually all but brand new but threw a blade from the compressor wheel i the first 1000 miles.
trouble is, it was bought stateside during the good exchange rate.
I know, I know, you pays your money etc.
Does this make it a suitable donor for a gt30 series conversion?
fair enough atm I run a 2.0L, but it could either be shelved until the 2.5L comes along or punted out to recoup costs.
I'd like more info if possible, maybe specific to my situation?

Peanuts,
The P20 exhaust housing would be fine on a 2.5lt, but unless you were going for very high power on a 2.0lt, imo, it's too laggy, and a P18 would be better.

Peanuts, I might be selling my iON P450 soon, P20 based GT30, with a T04E cover. You do have to grind some of your engine away to make it fit though, but I have a ready ground EJ257 short motor, which simply needs a piston change (have parts just not done it yet) but the plan was to put the short motor into a track car.
