Wont fire after replacing tps
Brought a New Trottle position sensor from api and fitted it last week
car started first time and second time but third time it just will not fire.
Turns over fine but just will not start. Any advise on what i can do. I've done a dia check under the dash and it comes up fine with no faults but still will not start. Help please

i presume you have connected it as it should be
then ecu reset ?
just a longshot, maybe something is wrong with the TPS and reports fault to the ecu even though you say you get no faults

if you have fitted a new throttle position sensor how have you made sure that you are getting first 100% throttle travel and second on idle any percentage reading at all if it sees zero % perhaps it wont fire as it dosnt need to ?

This is my son who fitted it on hes car, I think he just marked the fixing slots and removed old and replaced with new. If this tps needs to be set up how do you do this. Also how do you reset ecu

Youve probably flooded it due to the tps not being correctly set, if the ecu is thinking that the tps is higher than it should be it will add too much fuel. needs to be set up correctly, plugs removed and dried out then should be ok.
