MY00 various engine ques
Whilst I'm looking forward to pairing up my MR2 Turbo with a MY00 Impreza (UK Turbo), I'm simply curious about a few engine things...
What make is the turbocharger..? Ceramic..? Twin entry..? Standard boost pressure..? What rpm should max boost be achieved..?
Are dizzy caps and rotors still in use..?
Does the engine use PCV and is there a standard catch-can in place..?
Enough for now. Thanks for your time.
Jonty.

Turbo: TD04 made by mitsubishi i believe, bog standard no posh coatings and very small, still possible to squeeze 280hp out of it though.
Standard boost pressure should be 13-14psi or around 1 bar with a standard car, depending on what factory ecu you have in it, they varied a bit around those years, do a search on AE801 and AE802 and there will be plenty of reading.
tdo4 starts boosting about 2800rpm and max boost not so long after because of it's dinky size.
No distributors or rotors just a coilpack to go with the electronic fuel injection.
Yes there is a PCV system in place on the impreza but it recircs into the inlet tract just before the turbo so no catch can is present in the standard system.
