Question relationship between different branded oils and oil pressure?

currently using valvoline
have used silkolene and Motul in the past..

my car is MY00 (with a few mods) - I have found huge differences between the products wrt to oil pressure both at idle and vacum/WOT

is the oils have the same weight, then why such a huge difference in pressures?

after a high speed run @ 8bar ish (sustained run- motorway etc) if I then meet urban traffic and have to crawl along my oil pressure then wildly bounces between 2.5-4 bar. If i dip the clutch to change gear at very low revs (1000 ish) the car sometimes sees <2bar! and once ina blue moon stalls!

Why?

Never seemed to have these problems using Motul- BUT motul was before the big mods.

IanW's defi picture post the other day got me thinking as his oil pressure was over 9bar ? we both have MY00.

any thoughts on this?

8 bar? Thats around 118psi !! I've never seen that on a fully warmed engine at any revs! let alone 9bar (133psi) even when I used RS 10/60
What Valvoline are you using? I used to use Synpower 5/50 in my previous 99my and would see around 30psi (2bar) at idle and 85psi (5.8bar) >3k with the oil temp. at 80/85c (sump reading)

That peak will have been achieved with a cold engine
