Question CONFUSED!!!!!

Another topic about oil. The question is what is the best gearbox oil and diff oil to use in impreza wrx sti having many different views anyone with personal experiences or knowledge would be great CHEERS.

oil (as braking products) is a very subjective issue.......................the "right" oil for one person may not suit another dependant on use, tune, etc..............

personally i mainly use and supply the MOTUL or MILLERS products because i genuinely believe that these two companies offer a full and comprehensive range to suit most budgets/needs.............there are other oil companies out there, but mainly due to problems with our own and customers cars that appeared to be caused purely by inferior products, we stick with what we know works!!

i'm sure that someone else will come along with another subjective post shortly!! LOL..............

I use Castrol Syntrax with no problems in the box and diff.. over fill the box slightly to coat 3rd gear better.. (4litres) and rear diff takes aboout 0.8litres.

Redline Shockproof is also used by many but no idea on which grade..

A synthetic GL4/GL5 75w-90 is the best bet for both. GL4 for the gearbox and GL5 for diff.
