How hard is it to fit a STI 7/8 Intercooler to a MY99 Uk Turbo
As title says,
I am thinkin about improving my intercooler as i want to hit the 300bhp mark and have been told this is the route to go down. Just wondered how hard it is to do and if there is any difficulties/problems that i may come across in doing it??

There is a thread on hear somewhere.
SteveBT had one fitted to his car not so long ago.
I think JonnyGav was the originator of the thread.
I am sure Steve will see this thread shortly and offer some assistance.

7/8 is a better i/c and the potential for future boost upgrades would already b in place.
if as you say though, your only aiming for 300 then my point was that sti V would be capable for this.
a lot less effort as its a straight swap.

STI 8 is a good intercooler but for all the hassle that comes with it im not too sure if its worth fitting on a 300bhp car as stated i would just go for an sti5 intercooler or maybe a newage wrx intercooler which is still bigger than your intercooler but will have a lot less fitment issues

If you dont already know about them, local to you and the next meet is next sunday, membership is cheap and you get discount at quite a few speciallists/dealers (Prosport (Authorised subaru service/parts) Jap innovations and S.T.I (both Subaru speciallists))
