Default Can a Dawes device be used safely on a MY04 WRX?

Is this possible?? Obviously boost gauge, AFR and KL will be fitted to compliment it. I can't afford a remap yet, plus it easier/cheaper to put back to standard.

By the time you've paid for that lot surely you're approaching remap prices?

With those precautions in place - personally i'd say you're safe. But thats not the point - you are still quite likely to see the engine leaning off.

The boost controller gives you two options - boost on or boost off. It's way too crude for such a car, not progressive with fuelling. Problems will occur when you use part throttle (so get part fuelling) but the boost controller gives you full boost.

Bugger i was looking for a cheap and easy way to increase the boost slightly (approx 1.1 bar)

These work ok on an earlier scoob i assume??

It's safer on a classic shape scoob yes, but it's still prone to boost spikes.

You're really best taking the safer option and getting it done properly (via a map). I tried a boost controller on my old bug eye - the extra power was amazing but i didnt keep it on for more than a few weeks and stayed away from 6000rpm plus for fear of having a piston land in my lap. Then got it done properly.

Subsequently changed to a Blob eye PPP & i'm very happy with it.

I've got warantee for another 2.75 years so only option for a remap is PPP, and i really think it is over priced, my bugeye with full decat felt as good the blobeye PPP i test drove.
