Hayward & Scott made a system that was over 120 decibels loud (it may have been louder though the noise meter only went that high...)........as a comparison an F1 car is 118 decibels......

Top 5 Loudest exhausts
Mine is quite loud - have not got a decibel meter but its all TSL Motorsport Stainless Steel.
1. TSL Sports Cat
2. TSL Decat centre section
3. TSL Group N twin pipe back box
It sounds very nice and really very loud.
Shame we cannot get some sounds.
Cheers

Red Admiral - A system with sports cat and group N backbox isn't actually very lous by scooby standards, very quiet compared to any of the above mentioned; get yourself along to some meets and hear a proper loud one!

Yeah they seem top. Im not sure about Buddy club though. A member had one of these, went round with Blitz and he wasnt happy as he thought the Buddyclub was meant to be well loud. Both wasnt convinced.
I had before Blitz Nur Spec R with H&S decat downpipe and that was around 118db. TSL and HKS were lower (think HKS was 115db and TSl was 103db).
There is a greddy exhaust meant to be pretty loud

Has andbody got any pics of these box's.
i'm after a louder backbox, currently running:
TSL headers and uppipe, decat downpipe, decat centre and Firestorm box.
But its just not loud enough, the rasp is loud but the lowers revs aren't.

Firestorm is reasonably loud backbox, although e.g. the Blitz is allegedly louder still. Your "problem" is probably that the headers tend to make things quieter.
Not convinced it's really a problem, as personally I'm quite fond of reasonably quiet on the cruise etc, which is why I have a full APS system with sports cat, resonator etc.

1. Buddy Club
2. 5Zigen Fireball
3. BPM Twister
4. Blitz Nur Spec "R"
5. HKS Hiper
There is a difference between the R & just the Nur Spec
The back box is a lot larger on the Nur Spec & is a lot quieter
Nur Spec R all the way

Take the flange off (and the 2.5" restriction) and mate to a 3" centre and I would assume its identical to the Nur Spec "R". Thats what I have done with mine and its rather loud

My Blitz Nur Spec (not "R") with a full Scoobysport (H&S) decat is embarrassingly loud, so much so I pushed the car out of the garage today as it was quite early (6.45am) and started it down the road.
The entire street tends to shake if I start it in the garage

Just removed my system... the center decat pipe is at least 4" straight through with the NUR *Style* backbox. must be the loudest system on the planet. Came on a jap import. Not for the faint hearted.
For sale too....

H&S Pat spec system is loudest i have heard, as on Trouts car.
At prosport RR day in Feb they had decibel testing equipment. Top 3 loudest
BPM Twister at 113db IIRC
HKS Hiper without bung 115db IIRC
H&S Pat spec 122+db (ie it went off the scale)

LOL!
I remember someone with a Scoobysport 3" D/P and centre with the BPM Twister backbox. Above 4,000rpm he said the whole dashboard would vibrate!
Seen as the BPM came last out of the 3 above I dread to think what the other two above are like. I can't imagine you could put up with it as a daily driver.
Do you think these would be allowed on track at Bedford?
Damian.
