ESP software for Pocket PC
Mods please leave in Drivetrain, as this isn't a computer related question.
Just bought the ESP software for my Ipaq- I wanted to check some readings but didn't want to fill the dash up with gauges as that really isn't my thing.
However, I'm rather baffled that I can't get a reading for boost pressure even though the ECU monitors it- I would have thought that this would be output via the OBD interface?
I can get a reading for Intake Manifold Pressure, not sure if this is of any use?
I have to admit that I haven't got too far in to it yet though- just want a boost reading initially.
Thanks,
Simon

Intake manifold pressure should be the same, although you may have to take roughly 1 bar off the figure given, as it will have atmoshperic pressure included in the reading - deltadash has anyways.

Hi RRH
What do you think of the ESP software?, was considering getting a copy of delta dash for analysis purposes but something that runs on a pda would be much more handy in the car rather than a huge laptop.
Do you think it's worth the asking price or it it worth paying the bit xtra for the delta dash enthusiast version.
Dan.

Dan,
Will let you know. I'm rather surprised that I can't get a simple boost reading, like you can get with a PSi3 unit. I'm hoping this is something that can be sorted out in the software, but am still waiting for a reply from ESP to my email last week.
I tried phoning them today as well but couldn't get through.
It does, however, have a lot more useful features than I am ever going to understand, and i couldn't compare it with deltadash as I've never used it.
I did, however, like the idea of the PocketPC interface as I have an Ipaq in the car for satnav, and, as you say, a laptop on the passenger seat is a major PITA
