STI Type RA V4 Turbo Upgrade Advice
Hi All
Whilst out today, the VF24 Turbo on My V4 RA gave up the gost. The Bearing has gone and it makes a hell of a racket.
I Stripped it down and can confirm its dead.
Now, as to what do do next there are three optios as I see it:
1) replace as standard
2) replace with later version JDM turbo
3) go specialist/after market route including injectors and fule pump and remap.
The car has a new steel engine with 3.5 inch Decat and Power FC so am looking for option 3 but what do people think? What options are there if i'm chasing 350-400 HP?
Any advice would be useful on specs and suppliers.
Also if anybody can explain the IHI turbo range so if i end up with option 2, what i should look for.
