Knocking noise from engine bay??
Not going into too much detail but.......
Not tried it from cold, this happened when driving today and i'm not driving it till i know what it is or the subaru garage pick it up tuesday morning.
When driving and revs are approx 2k-4k rpm and accelerator is just enough to keep you going steady, there is a knocking/tapping noise. Noise stops when engine is under load or foot is off pedal
Oil pressure is not going above 3/4 on the defi gauge when under load (norm 7ish)
Oil pressure very low when idle
Even driving normaly cold not get oil temp below 100*C normaly 90-95
Seems to be lacking a small amount of power.
Did not notice much of a boost change but it might have been a bit low
Any ideas what i could be up against before it goes to the doctors?
Any help would be helpful
Thanks

I would suggest that you have a real problem with a big end.
Also, to get some GOOD advice talk to David at www.apiengines.co.uk tomorrow. Free advice, straight talking, no rip-off.
He reworks about 3 to 6 engines a week, so has seen it all.
Sometimes he takes a look at these pages and will chip-in on line.
