Type R Gearbox
Hi Guys/Gals
Looks like I am getting a Sti5 Type R

What are the thoughts of you wonderfull lot

Make sure its not a non-sti type r that didn't have the dccd anyway being sold as an sti.

Get the applied model code off the chassis plate and post it on here and we'll all soon tell you what the car really is.

It is an Sti I thought the same when I saw no DCCD. It has the Dccd dash red top engine Strut brace and right code(GC8G2DD) Etc. it also has got a unichip for uk fuel and dyno'd at 304 with 12psi (or 13) what else should I look for??

as long as they have "matched" the diff ratio's front and rear it could be any gearbox type......................you can mix and match at will with a little effort...........
