Doing mine at the mo - but I'm going a bit further....
98 MY UK
FMIC, 57i, TD05, Pump/reg, 550s, full de-cat, up-pipe, AVCR, power FC with map. - Cant tell you if its any good, cos I'm half way through - I can tell you that driving FMIC, 57i, Reg, TD05, decat and up-pipe at .2bar max and 4K revs is TOTALLY DRIVING ME NUTS ! (And its only been 3 days...)
If you're trying to avoid a remap, speak to rich wild - he's running a td05 on a 97, with the standard ECU at 386bhp (no - thats not a typo)....

Better than nothing I don't normally recommend them as you adjust the airflow signal to trim the fuel which then has an effect on the timing which may or may not be desireable.
If you can increase the fuel octane enough to match the ignition timing then even the std ECU can make excellent power.
