TD05 needs converting to Front Entry,

Speak to Andy F.

PARTS4U 14 July 2004 02:35 PM

once this is converted do you have to change injectors+pump etc or will the 00my handle it ????

CustomScoobyIOM 14 July 2004 02:38 PM

Once fitted 440 injectors should flow enough. PPP fuel pump should be fine too.

Depends your power goal really.

Remap is essential via ECUTEK mapper.

100% grin factor modification...
...Kiss goodbye to your Gearbox in the long run though !

Doing mine at the mo - but I'm going a bit further....

98 MY UK
FMIC, 57i, TD05, Pump/reg, 550s, full de-cat, up-pipe, AVCR, power FC with map. - Cant tell you if its any good, cos I'm half way through - I can tell you that driving FMIC, 57i, Reg, TD05, decat and up-pipe at .2bar max and 4K revs is TOTALLY DRIVING ME NUTS ! (And its only been 3 days...)

If you're trying to avoid a remap, speak to rich wild - he's running a td05 on a 97, with the standard ECU at 386bhp (no - thats not a typo)....

I think Rich has an Apexi S-afc which adjusts the fuel and indirectly the ignition.

that a good bit of kit andy, the s-afc? just as good as the avc-r, but in different terms?

i apologise for the hijack:)

Andy.F 14 July 2004 09:56 PM

Better than nothing :D I don't normally recommend them as you adjust the airflow signal to trim the fuel which then has an effect on the timing which may or may not be desireable.
If you can increase the fuel octane enough to match the ignition timing then even the std ECU can make excellent power.
