Question Alternative TMIC?

Bit in the dark here, so be patient.

Some time ago i saw an article on a track day Scooby in Scotland (a lurid lime green) and they were fitting a combination rad and FMIC, super thick for capacity, but fitting in the 'normal' place. No finished article was shown, just the two cores combined with tubes ready for plumbing and in the car
Recently, there has been a Lateral Performance FMIC/rad for sale. Never seen anything like this before, anyone have comments/pics etc on the item?

Apparently a very good FMIC from those using it, although you don't have to cut bumper to fit, it will only fit cars without Air-con, due to the air-con rad being in the way!! I looked at this as a possibility, but was put off cos I want to keep my A/C

Quite pricey too (£1400?? IIRC)

Thanks!
My car is a hill climber so A/C not an issue.
Where did you see it?

I have one and to say I am impressed is an understatement.

Only figure I can give you is from the dyno room.

ambient temp of 24 degrees, when flowing 555bhp of air through it at 2.0 bar the temp at the intercooler outlet was 28 degrees, 4 degrees above ambient.

Remember that is in the dyno cell without fresh cool air around it. Airflow supplied by a large but by no means enormous fan and intercooler was not sealed to fan with any kind of ducting. Fan just placed in front of it.

if you are hill climbing, are you subject to any rules as if you are on a restictor, you might be better off with the thinner core which lateral also supply for lower power applications, as the volume is lower therefore you should get better response on a smaller turbo.

Adam, thanks for the info!
In hill climbing ANYTHING goes on the induction side of things, no restrictors, must run 'commercially available' fuel, ie Optimax (and booster), rest is free.
Wish Lateral would get his Web site up, he must loose loads of business to the API/HKS lot.
Did the pipework get tricky at all?
Any chance of a pic or three!?
Thanks again, it all helps.
