BTTT, Yes, if you like, this is a poll, but please don't guess your answer. If you don't know definitely YES or NO - please don't reply.
If you want more info as to why this poll is being run, please see my other thread "This is what the forum relishes" which is going strong at the moment.
You'll understand why I've asked the question.
Thanks again.

Yes get an ecu remap that will suite UK fuel.

( IMO ) I would rather have the car re-mapped to suite UK fuel instead of leaving it as it is and having to use octane booster every time i fill up.

YES.
Unless your tolerance for minor/transcient det is high, you use lots of Oct Boost, or you have Water Injection.

If you only want YES or NO answers, surely the question should have been more specific, something like:-

Would a JDM STi7, registered September 2001 need an ECU remap to use Optimax (without octane booster)?

YES.

BTTT - looks like an overwhelming YES. Now, how many of you would be considered an expert witness? In other words, you have technical qualifications to support your answer? This should sort the men out from the boys!
Judge - Everyone else seems OK answering the question.......
Thanks again all.

Thanks for your help.
Absolutely definitely YES

Remember, not all people that buy JDM cars in the UK are as knowledgable as we on here are therefore they wouldn't know about Octane booster or where to get it.

Cheers Taffy, I thought I was trying to be helpful as well. Especially as only 6 people answered simply YES, but 8 answered YES with a reference to octane booster...
