Okay David....
I've given up on getting a UK box as it stands, so I'm up for a JDM item. My only problem is I'd need a rear diff to go with it - as I'd want everything fitted at the same time.
Apart from the box, what else would I need to get for the install? Do you have a short shift for it and all the drive shafts?
Would you be able to take a deposit for a box and then allow me time to source a rear diff for the above?

you could try and source uk drop gears from subaru direct. these would mean you would not need to change the rear diff (assuming you are on a uk car already). fairly easy to change too.
if on a uk car, then you will need
6 speed box
sti prop shaft or 60mm shortend uk propshaft
if jdm box, then you could either do as i said above and change the drop gears, or source the sti rear end, or find a sport 3.9 rear diff, and then convert your current rear diff.

Cheers for that...
I think I'll stick with the JDM ratios and see what they;re like. I want to go down the engine mods or 2.5L anyway later, so a higher red line is very possible.
I've got the UK Wrx, and want to change the rear diff for a suretrack item as with current BHP, the car snakes up rounds and does silly things around bends - fun, but want little more control.
Asking around now for rear suretrack diff...

Sorry, but you wont get the rev ability with a 2.5 unless you spend a lot of money. The JDM gearing is too short IMO for a 2.5. Trust me i know.
You wont get a suretrack REAR diff, as i dont think they made one, your better off looking for something like a quaife rear diff.
