Question Det can location

Where's best place to fit the copper pipe for det cans? On the inlet manifold or on the engine...Near the OE knock sensor?

Cheers

on the block, there should be somewhere convenient about 75mm above the factory knock sensor location where the engine meets the box.

Also you can slot the hole in the copper pipe to put under the factory sensor which can work quite well depending on your intercooler placement etc.

Thanks Paul. Its currently has two pipes, one at each end of the cylinder heads which I thiink gives too much drive train noise. I will relocated with 1 pipe into copper, at location you state. Cheers agzain.

You can bolt it anywhere on the metal part of the engine and still hear the det clearly, it's just the volume that changes from location to location.

[Cheers Andy.

Think I'll still move it to where you said as the noise from drive train is a little too much.
