Oil change

anyone know what tools you need to do a quick oil change?

Hi,

thanks for the thread.. I'm ok with the procedure having done it many times with other cars.. just wondering on the tools needed.. Mine are scattered far and wide and I wanted to collect the right ones before I started..

That'll be a 17mm ring spanner then

cheers guys.. 17mm it is with a long breaker bar on.. Bloody mechanics and their sodding air tools!

You shouldn't need a breaker bar

I hope the dealer doesn't use an air gun for the sump plug

I was lifting the engine on its mountings as I was trying to release the sump plug.. It was ridiculously tight... My only assumption was it had been put on with an air gun or long bar as it was impossible to move with a 8" ring spanner..
