Post Drivetrain vibration

I have recently brought my first Impreza (MY2000 Classic Turbo) and whilst I am really pleased with it, I am a little concerned that when I accelerate in third gear the gear lever seems to buzz and vibrate. It's not terrible just a little worrying and it doesn't do it in any of the other gears. Is this a common trait or should I get it looked at by the dealer? I mentioned it before the last service but the workshop guy said they couldn't find anything wrong, although I'm not sure whether they thought I was just being fussy. Any input would be welcome, especially as I'd hate to have an expensive gearbox rebuild if it went!

Hi
I have a MY00 which seemed to ratlle a bit through the lever, also seemed to move alot when accelerating hard.
I have fitted a group N gearbox mount which has certainly changed the feel of things. The lever moves less and the gearbox feels smoother I think. Well whatever it feels lots better. Not a very technical discription but i think you get the idea.
