Question gruppe s PP Stage 2?

I am looking at buying the Gruppe S stage 2 power package for my 2003 WRX. It consists of:

- IHI VF34 Turbo
- STI 565cc Injectors
- Warlbro 255lph Pump
- Link 44-S ECU
- Gaskets

I am currently running round 275 bhp courtesy of TEK2 and a full decat.

I want to know whether the LINK ECU is a substitute for the Subaru item or just an add-on. IF it is, is it really necessary or can I have the above with the standard ECU and do another (TEK 3 this time) remap. If the LINk is necessary coming from the states would it not be mapped for their crappy 91 octane fuel?

Anyone running LINK? your experience would be much appeciated as well as general advice on the above Power Package and any additional mods that should go with it.

Link is a complete replacement ECU. You can get just as good results from this as a TEK3 and vice versa, it's all down to the mapper. Plenty of people use Link ECUs on classics, it's never really been popular with new age cars as there are so many more options now.

I would add a FPR to the above package.

I don't understand the fuel comment US 91PON fuel is about 96-97RON? Their 93PON is better than any pump fuel we get!
