Has anyone tried a different MAF sensor?
As above, i`m fairly sure (i think) i`ve heard of people using something like Nissan 300ZX maf`s in skylines, has anyone used a different one in a scoob?

yes thanks.
you need to cut the silicone around the lid, prize it out and swap socket for a subaru one, OR get the nissan connector to match, I suspect you can take the pins out the subaru connector and fit them into nissan connector housing.
needs a remap, but 550s + nissan MAF are driveable off boost if you need to get somewhere for proper mapping.

Which is what I have done on the Sti9 and then just rescaled, the main reason for using a different one on MY99-00 cars is to improve mechanical robustness. You can make up an adaptor loom to interconnect so as to leave factory wiring intact.

But don't the green spot MAF's cure the robustness issue? I've not had one fail so far....have swapped about 40 in the last 12 months....I am, officially, Subaru Switzerland's biggest MAF customer (which just gives you an idea of how negligent main dealers are....)
