Default Does ECUTEK need occasional re-tuning?

Might sound daft but I was wondering if a car re-mapped using ECUTEK needs checking to make sure its still OK.

Had my car mapped at PE in Feb and am running de-catted exhaust, K&N panel filter and HKS BOV at 16 and a bit PSI. I'm pretty sure the boost gauge read higher initially but with foot down it doesn't quite hit 17PSI.

Theres nothing wrong with the car as far as I can tell but it occured to me that perhaps it needs a check at some point. Got tyres, discs and pads on horizon shortly so if it costs a fair few sheccles to have it checked it will have to wait

Thanks for advice in advance chaps.

I would of thought that unless youve fitted some extra modification, then it should be ok. The same probs that effect running (Maf/lambda etc..) apply to the OEM map which does not need rechecking so Tek map should be the same..
