Default rally sounding waste gate?

any one know of any good ones. Looking for a D.v. for my sti8, already knowing its for the sound and will not aid in performance in any way (some of you out there can pick up that dummy now - i know!!).

Fancy one, i know that turbo smart do one, but wondered if there are any alternatives, out there?

Cheers,

Andy

Just plug up the dv hole and you'll get a rally sounding wastegate, not quite as cool but it's ok. People say this shortens the life of the turbo though.

Isn't this then the noise of the compressor stalling....the WRC cars don't run dump valves at all. They do throw the turbo in the bin after each event though.

Dunno if it's a uk STI or JDM STI, I think they're both VF series turbos which are the one's that supposedly don't stand up to it.

Not quite that bad. Rebuild schedule on most of the Impreza WRC turbos is around every 500-750 stage kilometres depending on driver, conditions and antilag level. Even then, a rebuild is a rebuild, they don't chuck the whole thing in the trash.
