what mods next for MY00?
Got a MY00, only mods so far is a HKS Super dragger system and a decat downpipe. So next i was thinking of getting a front mounted intercooler, or a link ecu, or would it not be worth it with the little few mods i have, and if i get a front mounted intercooler would i have to change the standard airfilter to a aftermarket one, as i dont want to do that due to many reported MAF failures. Either way i will get both mods done but need to decide which one first, as i can not afford both at the same time. Help is much appreciated thanks.

um.
ok.
er, think you need to think a little more carefully mate..
If you use link, you wont be needing your MAF
A bigger turbo is a good starting point.. look in scoobyshop and check out AndyF's Td05's.. quite beefy
Lots of options out there..
Tdo4 on the UK car is a bit well, tame.
ask about/search on here..
Headers are worth looking out for. For pushing out a few more gee gee's - if you can handle losing a little rumble..
Injectors perhaps to make your fuelling a bit safer? (Lower stress on the fuelling in general), upgraded fuel pump/reg.. ??
Lighter wheels?
Sounds liek you have a plan.. just do it in the 'right' order and youre car wont blow up! LOL

You will also need an uprated oil pump, a set of larger wheels so you can fit those larger brakes under (AP 4/6 pots etc, none of this disc/pad combo if you want more power like your talking) or alternatively you can just go out and buy a better car like i did
I would also check with your insurance co about more modifications, they are bound to hit you in the pocket (especially for turbo/ecu upgrade that you will need) plus there is then the question about the clutch.... and gearbox.... hmmm not looking quite as rosy now as this will set you back a packet
You will need along with all the above, some gauges (defi's rate very highly on my list ) so you can see what your car is doing (plus knocklink etc)....
Or as stated before, just buy a better car it is worth it

Scoobyboy.......if you have a MY00, have you considered a tek3? You will get considerable gains in torque and bhp. It will make your MY00 a completely different animal and is a very safe mod to your car.
There is a group buy going on at the moment in the "group buy" forum which ends this friday. It's an excellent deal and saving on the RRP.
Cost will be £500+VAT and it will be done by BRD, one of the very best at this type of thing.
smurfy.

Is that the only mod you're planning on? If so, you ain't gonna get much of a noticeable performance increase. It will however pave the way nicely for future mods, particularly benefitial if you're after monster power. It all depends on exactly what you want to achieve. I'm sure you could get above 300bhp with the standard TMIC...
Here's what I'd do:-
Port the headers.
Samco turbo/IC hoses.
3 port wastegate solenoid.
Fuel pump.
Fuel pressure regulator.
Knocklink and sensor.
Boost gauge.
AFR gauge.
Tek3 with BR Developments - see Group Buy.
I'm pretty sure you won't recognise the car after that little lot...

I've got an MY00 with full de-cat, K&N panel and the TEK3 (or 2.5 or whatever its called this week! ) running 270/270.
Funds depending I'm going for the following:-
TD05 FE
FMIC
Injectors and pump
Re-map TEK to suit above.
I'm looking for 300/300 as safely as possible and with a bit of luck this could all be done under £2K IMO. However I'm a bit of a magpie so am leaning towards spending my money on sparkly wheels, wings etc.
