Default Fuel Pump, Fuel Pressure & Knocking

Why is it that it's easier to light the rich light on my AFR meter with a full tank of fuel than a close to empty one ?

My guess is because there's less input pressure on the pump because of less head of fuel.

Is that right ? and if so if I'm struggling to light the rich light on empty tanks then would an uprated fuel pump help or would it have a similar problem ?

Seem to be getting less knocklink activity on full tanks.

Any thoughts ?

Cheers

How long does a tank of gas last you? And are you aware that the lambda sensor underreads once hot? What MY and what mods?
