Porting original headers
This is the next area of tuning that I am going for and may be some of you have already gone this route.......cheaper than those stainless ones and still sounds like a scoob.
SO...Does any member know where I can get this work done in the Midlands area and at what type of cost. Cheers

Speak to Harvey, he did mine, with superb results.
The DIY route is not the best unless you really know what you are doing, otherwise the gains will be minimal.

As a ballpark, IIRC Scoobysport used to (probably still do) the whole job for something like £200 all in. Got mine done there when they changed the up-pipe, anyway.
Regards the noise - it does change slightly, but as you say still sounds like a scoob. I actually prefered the noise of mine after the header porting - I think quieter at low throttles, more snarly when you open her up.

Well i would like to learn, my goal with modding this car has been to do as much as possible my self. I have learnt so much from scoobynet so far, see no reason to stop now. Plus i hate shelling out money for something i know dawn well im capable of with the right instructions.
Im sure i saw some quite detailed instructions with pics on SN in the past, does anyone have the thread link so i can have a look one it is all back on line.

Thanks for the input...it seems that some find the path of DIY more rewarding than shelling out the hard earned notes.
APIDavid I have no mail from you. Can you give details of the whole process of porting the headers as well as the cost. Thanks
