Gearbox Tooth Found in Oil
Drained my gearbox oil and find a fwe shavings and a tooth.
Couldnt tell which one it was from before it shifted great. Now 50 miles later 4th gear is proving a bit tough to engage.
Question - Does it need a fwe 100 miles in for the oil to get around again or is 4th gear now shot?

I only finished putting the box back in yesterday , so first impressions are that the box is quite noisey but not so noisey you can't drive round town with out going deaf . The final drive ratio has dropped to 20mph/1000rpm (not a problem as it is not my every day car) . Changing gear is going to take a bit of getting used to as you have to double clutch and rev match on down shifts to get a smooth gear change . I got the gearbox from town end garage , they are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but I got fed up with paying £500 a time to rebuild the standard box each time 3rd went upto now I've had 4 .
Town End can be reached on 01524733837 give them a call and see what they can do for you .
