Default Advice on zener diode?

Can anyone help,

firstly does anybody know what the solenoid type thing is which the boost pressure runs through before reaching the map sensor? It has two wires and three ports, one from the inlet manifold, one to the MAP sensor and one blanked off.

Secondly does anybody know at what voltage the fuel cut comes in on a 95 wrx wagon?

Thanks in advance, Gareth.

It sounds like you're going to install a clipping circuit to stop the fuel cut coming in? Why not just install a ScoobyEcu chip for £99?

Pressure sources switching solenoid - ECU reads atmo pressure.

Don't know where the fuel cut is on this model.

Zener can work well but abolishes fuel cut completely.

Make sure you are monitoring knock and fuelling.

John, thanks for your help, however sorry to sound dumb but i am still unsure as to the purpose of the extra solenoid?!

Knocklink and lambda link are already inplace next to that all to tempting EBC!

Gareth.

ECU switches the reading of the MAP sensor to atmospheric from time to time so it knows what the atmospheric pressure is. This is the solenoid which switches between the two pressure sources. Hence pressure sources switching solenoid.

Cheers, John.

I'm having troubles now! Fitted a 4.3 v zener today and it seems that the fuel cut still comes in very occasionally?! Most of the time i can run 1.1 bar fine but occasionally it coughs and splutters like a fuel cut, any ideas?

I am using a apexi AVC-R to control boost.
