Default Benefits of a FMIC in hot climate.

Temperatures here in Perth are 33c currently , but the effectiveness of a front mount (In my case a Hyperflow)in this climate is dramatic.Even with the odd burst the inlet side of the cooler is too hot to touch , but on the outlet side cool .Quite remarkable given the relatively hot ambient air temperature.

I once read a post on scoobynet - can't remember who by now - that said with an FMIC "every day is a cold day"

So yes, blatently a good idea in a hot climate (or indeed anywhere!)

I was surprised even with our cool climate how hot the inlet side of the FMIC gets.

lol @ "every day is a cold day", it's very true, every time you put your foot down it's like the first time you do it on a cold morning with a TMIC

Talking Couldn't live without it...

Currently only 32C, in the depth of winter! 50C plus in summer.

I do find that according to the SECS unit intake temp I can still get (ambient temp -2C) when cruising, (ambient -5) when booting (water spray kicks in as well), but in traffic can still hit 60C plus when idling in traffic for more than a few minutes.

I was investigating the CO2 spray for the I/C as well, but I don't drag race (..well not on a track ) and I'm worried about the durability of the FMIC if I start hitting it with liquid CO2 on a regular basis.

I also decided to avoid p*ssing about and went for the monster APS version, but had to lose the fogs, and ended up with the soft pipe kit
