how do i adjust the fuel pressure

You can also look at a Fuel riser which works on vacuum from your boost line.
You can squeeze the fuel pressure regulator a fraction, please note that only very tiny changes need to be made to largely increase fuel pressure.

Mark,
If you're still using the standard ecu, increasing the fuel pressure will more than likely cause more problems, than it's worth.
However, if you have a re-mappable ecu, or are running some fairly heavy mods, FSE do two types of adjustable fuel regulator. You'd have to check the part no.s.
A) is a basic 1:1. This works very well with a re-mappable ecu. Set pressure to about 3~3.2bar at idle.
B) is the more common "boost valve" which is 1:1.7. this would work better with the stock ecu, where you're running lean at the top end, due to mods, or where you're running close to max injector duty cycle. Start off setting the pressure the same as normal (2.4bar approx') at idle, and the reg' should do the rest. If it still runs lean, up the idle pressure.
Mark.
They cost between £40~70 'ish from Demon Tweeks.
