Question

Don't wanna chance a mega induction kit cos me car is still under warranty and I know it's weak, but i've heard too many stories about MAF failiure to try a proper induction kit

Any point in a decent panel filter over an OE one?

Question

Not sure mate.
I put an ITG panel filter in the same time as my Scorpion BB and centre section. Definitely quicker but i don't know how much of that is due to the new filter.
Cheers

Dowser,

What is actually involved in removing the resonator?

No difference by itself - just longer lasting. But if you've got a non-paper panel filter then you can remove the induction resonator......this increases throttle response by a large margin

Thumbs up

Mikey, i've just had a KN panel filter fitted at service last thursday. No great differences but (and i might be talking bo****ks here coz I've not done too many miles since!)...Turbo seems to spool up a tiny fraction quicker/earlier, noise..tiny bit more, mpg...tiny bit less.
Give me another week and i'll have a better opinion for you.

Mikey, stop being a girl, and get an induction kit! I mean, I've got an induction kit on mine, and I've had NO problems at all!!
If your MAF fails, put your airbox back on before claiming!

Mikey
Suspect it would depend on how you accessorize.
Perhaps wearing it with a nice girl's blouse
