can any one tell me what my boost gauge should be doing? Its a standard my00 with a scorpion cat back system. Ayt the moment it seems to paek just under 15psi, around 4500rpm, but drops away as the revs increase to about 10 psi.

Andy,

It sounds about right. No need to worry. They all peak around the 14 psi mark at 4,500 revs, depending on weather, on a hotter day a bit less boost and on a colder day a bit more boost. It then drops after 4,500/5000 revs to 10psi.

Yep, spot on. Will probably hit 15.5psi max in winter at about zero centigrade and hold 15psi. I love winter I think mine held around 14psi at this time of year up to about 5500-5800rpm though... perhaps 10psi at 6500rpm, but I never bother using beyond those revs as the torque and power curves are collapsing at that point anyway.

PPP makes a difference - mine peaks at 18.5psi and holds 17.5psi even in this weather! Roll on winter
