Have just got a UK MY99 PPP to replace my write-off. But having a few problems with her. She has a PiperCross Induction kit (on before I got her), Prodrive ECU (also on before I got her), and a 3" STI cat-less zorst from the original downpipe (AFAIK)
She seems very lumpy on the power, and feels like something is continually holding her back. This seems to be happening from about 2500revs to about 5000revs, at which point it smoothes out, but doesnt seem to have max power. My only ideas are that this be a damaged MAF sensor or overboost problem. If you drive her at a quiet pace, all seems calm.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Could be a number of things ?? have you checked for CEL ?? it could be the MAF especially as the 99/00 have the very gragile MAF's and as you say the car is running with an induction kit. Maybe removed PiperX and replace with oem airbox and decent filter and then see.

Thanks guys,
Im considering replacing the induction kit with a green cotton panel filter, as has been said lots of places they give better performance on Scoobies.
Yep does seem a little dodgy on idle.
Okies, will be checking the MAF first I think.
