Cool

My birthday present to myself was a Scorpion full system for the Scoob. It's coming mailorder from Motech and I have a couple of questions:
a) Back in the mists of time, I fitted a SS backbox to my old Sport - how easy is it to fit a full system? I was thinking however it would be easier to pop the car into Kwik fit or like - are there any recommendations out there?

b) Is there anything special I need to do to the car in order to de-cat it. The system comes with a cat-replacement pipe and I 'm tempted to fit it and remove the cat in order for safe keeping. Any stories from owners of de-catted cars?

Cheers,

Miles

Thanks for the offer, I'll bare it in mind, although Perth might be a bit far away.

Miles,

I'd suggest having a word with Alistair at Laws Tyres in the Bridge of Don, and tell him I sent you. They have done lots of work for various Impreza owners over the past couple of years.

They are usually extremely careful when working on our cars, and do a good job. Saturdays are one of their busiest days though, so it might be best to book in for the afternoon when it's a bit quieter.

I'd offer to help myself, and you could use my garage, but my trolley jack failed last weekend whilst changing wheels (now got P1 ones fitted), and had to use the scissors thing. Wouldn't recommend this for jacking up the whole car though.

Miles,

Caldwell & Dempster in Banchory look after most of the needs of my WRX MY96. They recently charged me £20+vat labour to put on a Magnex back box and mid section. They are currently replacing the downpipe, which is a much more time consuming job, so will probably cost more. I will keep you posted on that score.

John S

got any pics with the P1 wheels on, never seen any on a Terzo yet.

My wheels are away getting powder coated.I'm going to regret chosing white after a few laps of KH on saturday

Dave,

no pics yet, but you'll see the car on the 17th anyway (but I'll be putting on track wheels and tyres when I get there).

It certainly changes the character of the car.

White wheels - I wouldn't like to clean them, which is why I went for ones that were almost brake dust coloured

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I actually got it fitted at Colin's Tyres in Dyce after a recommendation from one of my mates and they did a reasonable job for £25 + VAT.

Cheers for the offer John, but judging from watching the guys fit it, I don't think I'd like to have DIY'd it

Car sounds *lush* now - bloody brilliant!
