Question

I have a MY98 Terzo Impreza with a ScoobySport exchaust, however I want to change the downpipe and centre sections to increase power / torque and throttle response.

Does anyone know how good the Power Engineering T75 system is, against other systems???

I want to remain legal for MOT emissions tests etc.

Are there any other systems / combinations that will keep me legal and also give me great benefits.

Thanks
Mark.

I thought PE were the only people with a downpipe AND cat option. I also thought it was just the mid section of the T75 that had a cat. If it is a modular system you should use any of the down pipes with the PE centre section.

The T75 is a very bad design with an extremely short wastegate pipe and no seperator between the two openings which will cause lots of eddies/back pressure over better designs.

Go for either a large dump off the turbo or even better a seperate wastegate pipe with a seperator a la BPM for best results.

Any downpipe that removes the cat will show massive improvements and so an HKS one at around £140 is great value even if it still uses the blanking plate like the OEM one.

Getting a high flow sports cat (ie; GrpN) welded into a stock centre should be cheaper

Ridge_back,

If I go for a decatted downpipe then surely I will not pass my MOT when it is due in 6 months?

Are there any other options that provide a CAT and will give good increase. I know that GGR do a sport cat downpipe but that's about £500-£600.

Any ideas?
Mark.
