Question

My car seems to have developed a little problem...

When starting from cold the car has a bad misfire that sorts its self out after about 20 seconds. If I then turn the engine off and on again, it will misfire for another 20 seconds before sorting itself out.

I originally thought it would be the plugs, but my dealer told me it was due to the 'non-standard' (Blitz) air filter causing the problem.

Another suggestion that somebody made, was that the plugs were 'coked' due to the car running rich.

Has any body experianced ths?

Thanks

SimonM

Exclamation

Is the blitz oiled? - if so could be the old contaminated MAF sensor issue.

Cold start/warmup cycle mapping on UK cars seems to be suspect if my MY00 is anything to go by.

My UK94 mis-fires at 3000 RPM with a PiperCross filter. Its been fine all Summer ~ just started it now as the mornings get colder.

Its fine once its been running 2 or 3 mins.
Just when it pulls away from cold.

I've always put it down to the cold and the filter.

Hadn't thought anything else could be wrong...hmmmmmm now I'm worried !

Dave you tit,

Why dont you do some research and you will realise that the Blitz is a staniless steel mesh NON OILED filter! On another thread you are recommending an exhaust to go with this filter and you dont have a clue - typical farmer hill billy
