Perrin Fuel rails
#1
Just wondering if anyone else has fitted Perrin Fuel Rails on a STI7 (or otherwise).
On the instructions, it says that "aftermarket fuel pump and injectors" recommended. How true is this statement? Seeing that the fuel rails simply alter the geometry of the fuel delivery, how crucial are aftermarket injectors / pump and why would the manufacturers recommend it?
I do have a higher flow STI pump, but am running std STI7 pink injectors (565cc/min?).
Cheers.

Thanks Conrad. However, I just received an email from the Perrin tech dept that says the rails are ok for the STI7, but not the STI8. Don't know why, thought the injectors were the same.

As far as I know they are??? i have just put MRT billet rails on my STi8 and they are the same model as used on the STi 7 so I wonder why the Perrin items are different? Can you mail there tech dept and ask about the differences?
Drop me a mail when you find out. Cheers

Yup, mine are definitely top feed, if thats the case buy the top feed rails for Sti 7 or Wrx and they will be ok. MRT also do them (I have) APS ones are nice, cord from RB Motorsport in Lancs has made his own and sells them.
